Gaza’s Deepening Catastrophe: No Power, No Food, No Medicine

Gaza is living through an unimaginable nightmare. With no electricity, no food, and no medicine, survival has become a daily struggle. The streets are filled with despair as organized groups begin looting humanitarian supply centers, spreading psychological terror amid the misery. But who is behind these attacks? If hunger drives people to raid food storage, their actions are a desperate cry for survival, yet if these raids are orchestrated by the oppressors of the Palestinian people, then this is not justice, but sadistic violence.

Tragedy struck again when several civil defense heroes were martyred by Israeli airstrikes as they pursued looters in central and western Gaza City. These brave souls were trying to protect the last remaining food warehouses from organized thefts that have surged in recent days. Shockingly, reports suggest that occupation agents were among the looters, this is why some of these heroes did not return home to their families tonight.

Since this morning, Israel has bombed a communal kitchen, a mourning house, multiple displacement tents, and homes where families had gathered. Dozens of martyrs fell in these brutal massacres. Words cannot capture the magnitude of suffering,Gaza is enduring a catastrophe far worse than anything before. The world watches as entire neighborhoods are erased, yet the bombing does not stop.

Every day, international human rights organizations warn of Gaza’s total collapse, economically, socially, and morally. That collapse is already here. Hospitals without power, children starving to death, and now the last food stores under attack. Is the goal to push Gaza into complete chaos? To break the spirit of its people? The cruelty is beyond comprehension.

How much longer must Gaza endure this? How many more must die before the world acts? This is not just a war,it is a systematic erasure of a people. If humanity has any conscience left, it must intervene now. Gaza is screaming for help. Will anyone listen?

This habit of getting used to things is the reason that we seem to forget so quickly. The day before yesterday we were still under fire, today we are fooling about, seeing what we can scrounge around here, tomorrow we’ll be back in the trenches. In fact we don’t really forget anything. All the time we are out here the days at the front sink into us like stones the moment they are over, because they are too much for us to think about right away. If we even tried, they would kill us. Because one thing has become clear to me: you can cope with all the horror as long as you simply duck thinking about it , but it will kill you if you try to come to terms with it. ― Erich Maria Remarque, All Quiet on the Western Front Art Info: Artist: Alexander Seleznyov Genre: Photography Resolution: 9000x6000 Location: Unknown Location, Gaza Date Taken: 03 December 2023
